Modao seem to be the only defensive yellow unit commonly used, they do a decent job and counter cav. Iron reapers are alright as a frontal assault unit, good in a coordinated push.
Its a high damage, high speed cover commander shield unit that usually picks off targets out of poisition for free.

Do the invasions and watch the 4 ads for daily medals, do campaign even if you cant complete them to 3 stars. Like 30 minutes everyday if you can to learn the game mechanics and tricks well. And only silver and gold generals can learn skills, bronze generals cant) There are generals who have these skills right from the start but you can also give these to you generals for some medals (Note: you need to unlock these skills in scenario missions to be able to give them to your generals. Replacement for infantry, Machinist for tanks and artillery, and there is one for ships but i dont remember the game. There are also skills that slightly heals the unit over time. Units heals when they are in a city with Depot (the red cross symbol) you can also build these depots on cities that dont have it.
